Massachusetts responsible gaming resources

This page exists so the safety information is not buried under the promotional language. If you are concerned about gambling behavior, do not treat a first bet offer as a reason to continue playing. Use the Massachusetts help resources instead.

Immediate support options

  • 1-800-GAMBLER for nationwide problem-gambling support.
  • 1-800-327-5050 for Massachusetts substance use and gambling support through the statewide helpline.
  • Visit Massachusetts responsible gaming and voluntary self-exclusion resources if you want to restrict or stop sports wagering access.

Voluntary self-exclusion

Massachusetts offers a Voluntary Self-Exclusion program that can apply to sports wagering, casino gambling, or both. Enrolling can remove access to licensed sports wagering products and can also stop promotional marketing, depending on the program conditions and operator procedures.

Practical safer-play steps

  • Set a fixed entertainment budget before placing a wager.
  • Do not chase losses with larger or faster bets.
  • Take breaks and avoid wagering while upset, intoxicated, or financially stressed.
  • Review account tools that limit spending, time, or notifications.
  • Seek help early if betting stops feeling recreational.
